Many students at my age don't have any clue about their future job. They either do something to please their parents or they waste their time in college by doing only general courses as French, sports, philosophy, etc. If you are one of the types of person above, you must find what determines yourself. You are good in maths, are creative and like the science behind buildings? Engineering civil is what represents you. Here is the 3 websites below that I pick for understanding the profession.

As an engineer, your tasks are related to design, analysis and management of infrastructure such as bridges, roads, aqueducts. Analysis is when you write the details about an infrastructure. Design is when you have the plan for the future construction of your infrastructure. Management is when you discuss the parts between your partners of work.

You can use apps for modeling buildings on the computer.

In engineering, you need to do maths. Because of the gravity, calculations are required. If not, you may encounter difficulties with buildings. Also, there are different beams for each part of an infrastructure.
